BIOGRAPHY

In 2009, Andrée-Anne was selected for Team Quebec to participate in her first international competition. Afterwards, the young swimmer (11 at the time), decided to move to Quebec City, away from her family, to continue swimming at an elite level. In her 6 years with SynchroElite/Quebec Excellence Synchro, Andee also made it on the 13-15 national team in 2013. The three following years, until her selection for COE, she swam on the Junior National Team, competing at two FINA Junior World Championships (Helsinki, Finland, 2014 & Kazan, Russia, 2016) and one UANA PanAm Junior Championships (Calgary, AB, 2015).

GETTING TO KNOW THE ATHLETE

  • Family: Parents Stephane Cote and Helene Cormier… Older sister Myriam, younger brother Vincent, who swims at competitive level…
  • Getting into the Sport: Started synchro at age 6, her sister was taking classes and she wanted to do the same thing… At age 11, she moved to Quebec City to persue swimming at an elite level with SynchroElite (now Quebec Excellence Synchro).
  • Outside Interests: Loves to spend time with family and friends, enjoy eating oreos McFlurry, watching Netflix and taking naps.
  • Odds and Ends: Has many nicknames due to the fact that her name is hard to pronounce in English…
  • Why she loves Synchro:
