This fine must be paid to the Chief Referee or designate at the coaches meeting prior to the competition\, or the routines concerned will be disqualified from the competition. \nThe FINAL deadline for late entries is 2 weeks prior to the start of the competition\, on April 25\, 2022\, 11:59 pm EST. No entries will be accepted after this date.\n\n\nAthlete Fee\nThe athlete fee is $115 per athlete. An online Event Registration Form will be provided to add this amount to the club’s total.\n\n\nAthlete Area Fee\nThe athlete area fee is $10 per athlete\n\n\nPayment\nTwo payment methods are available. SUMMARY:2020 CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED\nCanada Artistic Swimming (CAS) continues to monitor and follow the advice of local and federal government bodies including our national and provincial health advisories as well as staying up to date on the various states of emergency and other measures imposed provincially and locally around the country in attempt to contain the spread of COVID-19. \nGiven the current status and trajectory of the virus in Canada\, it has become impossible for the organization to safely host the 2020 Canadian Championships\, scheduled for Quebec City\, May 4-9. Effective today\, this event is cancelled. \nThis has been a difficult decision\, but CAS continues to be committed to following all of the recommended guidelines and measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 and maintain the health and well-being of the participants both in our sport and of Canadians in general. \nWe would like to sincerely thank our organizing partners Natation Artistique Québec and Québec Excellence Synchro for all the work they had already put into preparing for this event. \nCAS’s executive and volunteer leadership team would also like to take this opportunity to recognize the initiative taken by our provincial Members\, and the many individual registrants who have conducted such a positive and engaging social media campaign since the self-isolation and social distancing requirements began.  CAS is truly amazed at the creativity and resilience demonstrated by our participants. \nAs the next few weeks and months unfold\, CAS will continue to support initiatives around the development of the sport\, our coaches and our athletes to maintain active interest and to use this unprecedented time to promote tasks and activities that can be done virtually.  Like our Members and registrants\, we hope that swimming pools and programs will be back to normal soon. \nIn the meantime\, we will also continue to work with our Members to support the continuity of our organization infrastructure by sharing experiences and detailed information connected to the various stimulus packages currently being offered by our respective governments. \nA brief Q and A related to the cancellation of the 2020 Canadian Championships is below. \nWe wish all of our Members and participants continued good health and safety through this challenging period. \n\nWHY IS THE EVENT CANCELLED AND NOT POSTPONED? \nBecause of all the uncertainty around the spread of COVID-19\, it’s impossible to predict when teams would even be able to get back in the water to start training. Certain provinces have already confirmed pool closures until May 1\, others are hinting at June 1 and beyond. Because of this\, it’s impossible to schedule with any kind of certainty an event that wouldn’t run into next season. \nIF WE’RE ABLE TO START TRAINING AGAIN SOON\, WILL CAS DECIDE TO HOLD AN EVENT? \nHosting a national championships takes a lot of preparation and can’t be improvised in just a few weeks\, but we are already investigating various possibilities that could be put in place to connect the artistic swimming community\, virtually or in person\, if the occasion presented itself. We will be consulting with coaches and members of the Canadian artistic swimming community about these opportunities and will keep you informed in the coming weeks. \nWILL WE BE REQUESTED TO PAY ANY PENALTIES FOR HOTEL CANCELLATION? \nAll official hotels as recommended on the event page (Hotel Universel\, Travelodge\, Hotel Quartier & Laval University Residences) have confirmed that they would accept cancellations with no penalties. Please make sure to contact them now to confirm your cancellation. \nWHEN WE CANCEL OUR FLIGHTS\, WILL WE GET CREDIT FOR FUTURE FLIGHTS OR REFUNDS? \nThis depends on the airline and the type of ticket booked\, but in general full refunds are only offered on higher class fares. Air Canada is currently offering 100% credit on all their flights with no penalty fee\, including those booked in the lower economy fares\, which can in a lot of cases be used in the next 24 months. WestJet also offers 100% credit to a travel bank\, but is currently not offering this on flights that depart after April 30. DESCRIPTION:LIVE RESULTS\nWATCH LIVE!\nDownload the Panels Map Optional Figures Group for 13-15Please note that the Optional Figures Group for the 13-15 Figures event will be GROUP 3. \nSeagull\nPorpoise Continuous Spin 720° \nDownload the Panels Map  \n\nThe 2020 Qualifier has been cancelled \nCanada Artistic Swimming established and communicated a response plan to address our competition landscape in the evolving situation related to the attempt to contain the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.  This plan was assembled in collaboration with our Members and had at its core\, the primary objective to keep our participants healthy and safe\, and a secondary objective to continue normal sport operations as much as the situation would allow. \nCAS has watched closely as the government health advisors at various levels make recommendations on the basis of their expert opinions\, and government and other sport agencies move forward to implement those recommendations. \nAs these decisions have unfolded very quickly\, the definition of normal sport operations has changed significantly within the last two days.  \nConsistent with the health and safety guidelines being implemented across Canada\, and with new directives from the Ontario government\, the decision has been taken to cancel the 2020 Qualifier competition scheduled to be held in Markham\, Ontario\, March 24-28\, 2020.   \nThis is one of many difficult decisions that are being made across the country and around the world related to sporting events of all types. With such a rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus\, CAS is committed to following all of the recommended guidelines and measures to slow its spread and maintain the health and well-being of our athletes and all other participants in our sport. \nAt this moment\, a contingency plan is being constructed to address the Canadian Championships scheduled for Quebec City in early May.  For now\, this competition will continue to remain on our calendar. \nAccompanying this announcement is a Q and A which will address many of the questions our clubs and parents have as a result of this decision. \nWe wish all of our Members and participants continued good health and safety through this challenging period in our history.  \n\nWILL WE GET OUR QUALIFIER REGISTRATION FEES BACK?CAS is presently Gelling is allowed at the pool in the change rooms. Please always be respectful of the facility – this privilege can be taken away at any time. Absolutely no degelling in the pool will be tolerated.\n\n\nRules for stretching & land drill\nStretching and land drill is allowed in certain areas of pool deck (to be confirmed by referee)\, as well as in the 2nd floor hall (where entrance to pool stands are located). This fine must be paid to the Chief Referee or designate at the coaches meeting prior to the competition\, or the routines concerned will be disqualified from the competition. \nThe FINAL deadline for late entries is 2 weeks prior to the start of the competition\, on March 12\, 2019\, 11:59 pm EST. No entries will be accepted after this date.\n\n\nAthlete Surcharge\nThe athlete surcharge fee is $75 per athlete. An online Event Registration Form will be provided to add this amount to the club’s total.\n\n\nTechnical Fee\nThe Technical Fee is $45\, levied once for each athlete taking part in any junior or senior\n\n\nPayment\nTwo payment methods are available. No billeting will not be provided. Arranging and paying for accommodation\, meals and transportation on site (taxis\, parking etc.) will be the responsibility of the athlete.What is the cost for athlete including travel and food?  The registration fee for camp is $800 and covers the cost of travel (Canada Artistic Swimming will arrange and pay for Travel) and all camp costs to operate camp (facilities\, experts\, coaches). Arranging and paying for accommodation\, meals and transportation on site (taxis\, parking etc.) will be the responsibility of the athleteWhat day do they need to arrive and what time does it end? Registration will be between 2pm and 4pm on Wednesday\, November 14\, 2018. Camp ends at 4:00 pm on Sunday\, November 18\, 2018.Will I have to escort my child to Montreal or will she be chaperoned by another coach/Canada Artistic Swimming chaperone? There will not be chaperones at camp. At the past Trials\, club coaches have attended camp with their athletes. Canada Artistic Swimming will work with Cub Coaches to ensure travel is coordinated\, as much as possible\, so that coaches and athlete are travelling together.What if I am unable to get a Medical completed by a Doctor?It is a requirement to attend camp\, so athletes that do not submit completed medical forms will not be permitted to attend and participate in campCan parents watch what is going on at camp?Unfortunately they cannot to due the very limited amount of space in the facilities and the restricted access to the facilities at INS (institute national du sport du Québec)
