Apr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s d’une d\u00e9cennie au sein de l’\u00e9quipe nationale de natation artistique du Canada, Claudia Holzner<\/strong> entretient maintenant des liens avec le sport de mais hors de l’eau. Apr\u00e8s ses d\u00e9buts olympiques \u00e0 Tokyo lors des Jeux d’\u00e9t\u00e9 de 2020, elle prend actuellement un cong\u00e9 sabbatique de la comp\u00e9tition, mais a trouv\u00e9 un nouveau r\u00f4le au sein de l’\u00e9quipe, celui d’apprentie entraineure!<\/p>\n

Inspir\u00e9e \u00e0 l’\u00e2ge de six ans par la natation artistique aux Jeux olympiques de Sydney en 2000, son r\u00eave de participer \u00e0 des Jeux olympiques s’est r\u00e9alis\u00e9 \u00e0 l’\u00e9t\u00e9 2021, apr\u00e8s le report d’un an des Jeux de Tokyo. Aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de sa partenaire Jacqueline Simoneau, elle a obtenu une solide 5e place dans l’\u00e9preuve en duo, puis a encha\u00een\u00e9 avec des r\u00e9sultats de 5e (\u00e9quipe technique) et 6e (\u00e9quipe libre) places dans la comp\u00e9tition par \u00e9quipe.<\/p>\n

Bien qu\u2019elle ne soit pas pr\u00eate \u00e0 prendre sa retraite, elle a mis de c\u00f4t\u00e9 les rigueurs de l\u2019entrainement de haute performance pour poursuivre des \u00e9tudes en \u00e9conomie \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Concordia, o\u00f9 elle pr\u00e9voit obtenir un baccalaur\u00e9at en commerce avec une majeure en marketing. Mais une fois que les nouvelles athl\u00e8tes du programme de l’\u00e9quipe nationale du Canada se sont rassembl\u00e9es pour s’entra\u00eener \u00e0 l’INS \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, Claudia est revenue \u00e0 la piscine \u00e9galement.<\/p>\n

Elle travaille avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe deux jours par semaine depuis quelques mois. Dans le cadre du programme d\u2019apprenti.e.s entraineur.e.s olympiques de Natation Artistique Canada, elle acquiert de nouvelles comp\u00e9tences, tout en apportant sa perspective unique pour aider l\u2019\u00e9quipe.<\/p>\n

Pour les nouvelles athl\u00e8tes, la pr\u00e9sence d’une personne ayant l’exp\u00e9rience de Claudia est motivante. En plus de ses comp\u00e9titions olympiques, elle est trois fois m\u00e9daill\u00e9e d’or aux Jeux panam\u00e9ricains, a remport\u00e9 37 m\u00e9dailles sur le circuit des s\u00e9ries mondiales de natation artistique de la FINA et a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le Canada \u00e0 quatre championnats mondiaux aquatiques de la FINA en 2013, 2015, 2017 et 2019. Elle inspire l’\u00e9quipe avec sa conviction que \u00ab\u00a0strong is beautiful\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

D\u00e9j\u00e0 instructrice de yoga certifi\u00e9e, Claudia a \u00e9galement suivi la formation d’instructrice ALLEZ \u00e0 l\u2019eau! pour enseigner les principes fondamentaux des sports aquatiques aux jeunes, a obtenu la certification Respect et Sport, le module Sport s\u00e9curitaire de l’ACE et suit actuellement le programme Comp\u00e9tition – D\u00e9veloppement du Programme national de certification des entra\u00eeneurs (PNCE).<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 athl\u00e8te pendant 19 ans, dont neuf au sein de l’\u00e9quipe nationale senior, je suis impatiente d’explorer cette nouvelle perspective \u00ab\u00a0, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Claudia. \u00bb J’apprends \u00e9norm\u00e9ment en travaillant aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s d’entraineur.e.s aussi exp\u00e9riment\u00e9.e.s, et je suis ravie de faire partie du programme d’apprenti.e.s entraineur.e.s olympiques. Cette \u00e9quipe a tellement de potentiel, et c’est un privil\u00e8ge de pouvoir travailler avec elles. Ce sera formidable de les voir exceller \u00e0 l’aube de leur saison de comp\u00e9tition 2022 et de les voir r\u00e9aliser leurs r\u00eaves.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n
