Canada Artistic Swimming (CAS) is pleased to announce that Karine Doré and Yingli Hou will be returning as the Junior National Team coaches for this upcoming summer season. The team is slated to compete in the Pan Am Aquatics Championships to be held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on August 10-13 2023.
“Karine and Yingli have shown a remarkable dedication to the sport and have done an outstanding job leading our young athletes to success in the past,” stated CAS Chief Sport Officer Kerri Morgan. “We are confident that they will continue to bring their experience, passion, and expertise to the team this year.”
“I am very much looking forward to working with the Junior National Team and attending the Pan Am Championships this summer. With the rule changes and the new scoring system, this is a very exciting time for artistic swimming! This is the second year I’m working with Karine, who’s an amazing coach. We will create a safe, positive and professional training environment for the program’s development and success. Looking forward to being a part of Team Canada !» says Yingli Hou.
Last year, Doré and Hou lead the Junior National Team to the Junior World Championships, in Québec city, where they secured a top 10 in all events.
Also in the coaching roster, Kasia Kulesza will act as the Next Gen Head Coach, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, having worked with high-performance athletes both nationally and internationally. Kasia will also be running our apprentice program that will develop the next generation of artistic swimming high performance coaches.
Together, Karine, Yingli, and Kasia will form a dynamic coaching team, providing our young athletes the guidance and support they need to achieve their full potential. We wish them all the best for the upcoming season and look forward to seeing the results of their hard work.
