In recognition of the successful coordination of talent development activities across the country in artistic swimming and the on-going work with its provincial partners in building culture in the sport, CAS is pleased to announce that Kasia Kulesza, national senior team and 2020 Olympic Assistant Coach will take on additional responsibilities in an expanded role as the Next Gen Head Coach.
In addition to her coaching role working with our top level carded athletes, Kasia will design and build a programming framework to support the infrastructure of next generation athletes progressing from club level, through provincial teams, and to the national team. This framework will include technical guidance as well as building a strong culture of excellence working from entry level high performance through to the Olympic team.
“I am really looking forward to helping to address the need to build the next gen athletes to help them achieve their dreams in the sport and to help facilitate the progression of those who want to transition from provincial to national team programs” stated Kulesza.
Kerri Morgan, CAS Chief Sport Officer added: “This is an exciting step in our growth as a sport – tied to long term athlete development and new rules coming for the sport internationally and nationally, we are keen to use this opportunity to increase the communication and collaboration to build alignment at all levels in the sport. With Kasia turning attention more intentionally to the development pathway, we know we can build a more coordinated system.”
Kasia will commence her additional duties as the Next Gen Head Coach in September
