The rising star joined the national team in 2012 when she was still a junior competitor. That year, she won a bronze medal in the solo event at the FINA World Junior Championship. Simoneau improved to the silver medal position at the 2014 World Juniors, while winning the figures competition at the event.

She made her FINA World Championship debut in 2013, competing in the team events, after which she also began competing in the duet event. In 2015, she won gold in the event at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, getting her golden ticket to the Rio Olympics. She also took part in a all synchro events (except mixed duet) at the 2015 FINA World Championships in Kazan. Getting to compete at the Olympic Games is one of Simoneau’s life goals, along with being a doctor. For now she has achieved one of her goals, as she took part of the Rio Olympics in 2016 with her duet partner, Karine Thomas. The pair finished in the 7th position.
