With the 2025 World Aquatics Championships set to begin in less than two weeks, Canada Artistic Swimming is proud to unveil the 12-athlete team that will represent Canada in Singapore from July 17 to 25, 2025.
The seasoned squad includes seven Olympians and ten World Championships veterans. The team will depart from Montreal next week for a final training camp in Seoul, South Korea, to fine-tune preparations ahead of the season’s last international competition.
Team captain Kenzie Priddell, who will be competing at her fifth World Championships, shared her excitement: “We’ve been working very hard on our routines since our last World Cup in Markham in May, and we can’t wait to showcase them in Singapore. World Championships is a long and difficult competition, but we’re such a strong team and we’re looking forward to face the challenge together.”
Canada will compete in the solo, duet, and team events. Montreal’s Audrey Lamothe will return as Canada’s soloist and will also team up with Ximena Ortiz for the duet events. Paris Olympian Scarlett Finn, who did not compete for Canada during the World Cup season, joined the team in May and will be part of the squad in Singapore. Tokyo 2020 Olympian Halle Pratt, meanwhile, will be making her first World Championships appearance since Gwangju in 2019.
“I can’t wait to see this group of athletes compete at Worlds,” said Lead Coach Karine Doré. “This first year of the Olympic quad leading to LA 2028 will be a great opportunity to see where we stand in the world rankings and to test how our strategies measure up on the world stage. We have a talented group of athletes with lots of experience, so I’m confident they will be ready and perform well in Singapore.”
The World Championships will mark the close of the 2025 competitive season, ushering in a rest and training phase for the fall and winter, before international competitions resume in spring 2026.
