The 13-15 figures for 2021 Canadian Championships will be Ariana and Albatross Half Twist.

Late Entries Once the deadline has passed, changes can only be requested by email, at registrar@artisticswimming.ca, and will be subject to a late fee.

According to CAS Rule, 5.1.5 b), Each routine whose entry package has not been received or is incomplete by the stated deadline is automatically assessed a $25.00 fine. This fine must be paid to the Chief Referee or designate at the coaches meeting prior to the competition, or the routines concerned will be disqualified from the competition.

The FINAL deadline for late entries is 2 weeks prior to the start of the competition, on June 1, 2021, 11:59 pm EST. No entries will be accepted after this date.
Athlete Fee $40 per athlete. An online Event Registration Form must be used to add this amount to the club’s total.
Payment Two payment methods are available. In both cases, payment must be received before the final payment deadline to avoid penalties.

  1. Preferred Method: By Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) to payment@artisticswimming.ca (password should be CASC2021)
  2. By cheque, payable to Canada Artistic Swimming, sent to:

Note that the payment deadline is one week after registration, on June 1, 2021, but that late penalties will be strictly enforced (unless extensions have been granted)
COVID-related Refund Any duly registered routine whose video could not be submitted because of COVID-related restrictions will be refunded in full upon request.
Event Registration Form All clubs must fill out an online Event Registration Form which will be used to provide all the pertinent information to the Organizing Committee and to calculate total cost to remit to Canada Artistic Swimming.
Consent Forms & Waivers All athletes who did not fill out the Athlete Waivers for the 2021 Virtual Qualifier must fill one out for this event using this link.

Submission Deadline All video files must be fully uploaded to the CAS Dropbox account by June 11, 2021, at 11:59pm EDT. Files must be uploaded using the Dropbox File Request provided to the person designated on the online competition registration form. Please make sure to take into account uploading time as this can be quite lengthy for large files.
Video Format & Resolution Videos resolution must be 1080p (1920×1080), at 30 fps (frames per second). Note that sending higher resolution videos (like 4K) or higher fps will NOT result in better looking videos when streamed, in fact, it will likely result in choppy streams.

Labeling Convention

Video files must be labeled with the following information, all separated by underscores, with no blank spaces

  1. Age Group: 13-15, Junior, Senior, Open (Combo)
  2. Event: Figures-Name, Land, SoloTech, SoloFree, DuetTech, DuetFree, TeamTech, TeamFree, Combo
  3. Club Name: no spaces please!
  4. Athlete Last Name: For duets, use both last names. For teams, please use the first swimmer’s last name, by alphabetical order

Please note that CAS rule 4.8.2.a will be strictly enforced:
If the music video is not submitted by the deadline, if it is not in the correct format, if it is not labeled correctly, […] there will be a $100 fine per infraction.

13-15 figures for 2021 Canadian Championships will be Ariana and Albatross Half Twist.

2021 RULE CHANGES

Please note that the following rule change will apply for the 2021 National competitions:

Quick Description Technical Memos
For 2021 only, the Junior Age Group will be 15-19, to allow the athletes who missed their last junior season in 2020 to participate Technical Memo 2021-1
For 2021 only, National Qualifier and National Championships will not include the Highlight Routine event. Technical Memo 2021-2
For 2021 only, it is not mandatory to enter a technical routine in order to enter the corresponding free routine for the junior and senior age groups (applies to ALL events: solo, duet, mixed duet and teams) Technical Memo 2021-3
For 2021 only, the 13-15 Figure event at National Qualifier will only feature 2 figures. These figures will be drawn and announced 4 weeks before the submission deadline, on March 5, 2021. Technical Memo 2021-4
There will be no preliminary events at the 2021 National Qualifier Technical Memo 2021-4
