GETTING TO KNOW THE ATHLETE

Getting into the sport : Her Grandma suggested it when she was 7 because she was enjoying swimming and gymnastics at the time.
Career highlights: 13-15 National Team in Calgary, 2015 Comen Cup in Italy, 2016 JRNT athlete pool, 2016 US Open in California, Senior NextGen Team in Montreal, 2017 US Open in New York, 2017 JRNT athlete pool.
Family: Mom’s name is Wendy and she was on Team Canada for trapshooting; Dad is Greg and he was on Team USA for hockey in addition to currently working as the head of CBC sports. Also has a younger brother named Michael who’s in the States playing baseball more often than he’s in Toronto. “Overall, we are a very sport-oriented family.”
Outside interests: Travelling, movies, the arts, and spending time with friends.

Sports Idol: Caroline Waldo
Future aspirations: Hopes to continue with synchro into University, as well as get in as much travelling as she can and perhaps work in the field of business.
Why she loves synchro : “It’s amazing to be able to compete and see the world at the same time through synchro, in addition to meeting awesome people along the way.”
