Canada Artistic Swimming Canada (CAS) is pleased to announce that Quebec City, in Quebec, has been selected to host the first two events of the 2026 Canadian artistic swimming national calendar, the National Qualifier and the Canadian University League (CUASL) Championships.

The 2026 National Qualifier will be held at Desjardins Aquatic Centre in the University Laval PEPS Complex in Quebec City from March 15 to 21, 2026. Hosted in partnership with Natation Artistique Québec and Québec Excellence Synchro, the event is expected to welcome over 450 athletes from the youth (13-15), junior, and senior categories from across Canada who will compete for spots in the Canadian Championships taking place later in May.

The entire Québec Excellence Synchro team is delighted to have been selected as the host club for the 2026 National Qualifier,” said Samantha Da Costa, head coach of the longtime event partner club in Quebec City.

“We are very proud to welcome a competition of this magnitude. It is a unique opportunity for athletes from across Canada to showcase the hard work, discipline, and passion they put into their sport every day. This competition will not only be a showcase for artistic swimming, but also a chance to inspire the next generation and the local community.”

CAS is also very proud to confirm that it will continue its partnership with the Canadian University Artistic Swimming League (CUASL) and will hold the 2026 CUASL Canadian Championships at the same location in Quebec City from March 20 to 22. This will be the fourth edition of the competition held in partnership between the university league and CAS. Over 220 athletes participated in each of the first three editions in Markham (2023), Winnipeg (2024) and Victoria (2025).

This will mark the return of the National Qualifier at the PEPS Centre, 9 years after its last edition in March 2017.

“We look forward to working with our partners at NAQ and the host club in Quebec City to make this competition a success,” said Stéphane Côté, CAS Chief Operating Officer. “We’d like to thank our host partners for their collaboration and partnership, events like this are simply not possible without their support.”
