Canada’s Artistic Swimming Team heads into the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, with a core group of athletes who participated in last year’s Worlds in Budapest, and a few athletes who will compete at the event for the first time. The Artistic Swimming events will be held at the Marine Messe Fukuoka Hall A from Friday, July 14 to Saturday, July 22.

The event will be the team’s fourth outing in 2023, after participating in World Cup events in Markham and Montpellier and the Super Final in Oviedo, Spain, where they garnered 4 medals to close out the World Cup season. in Fukuoka, where the entire world field will be present, they will take part in 5 events: solo technical, solo free, duet technical, team technical and acrobatic routine.

Coming off a strong training camp in Singapour, the team is ready for the challenge ahead which will be the last event before this fall’s Pan Am Games in Santiago, Chile.
