2015 Canadian Synchronized Swimming Qualifier Championships will be held March 25-28 at Saanich Commonwealth Place
Victoria, March 23, 2015 — Over 560 synchronized swimmers, coaches and judges from across Canada will be at Saanich Commonwealth Place (4636 Elk Lake Dr., Saanich), March 25-28, for Synchro Canada’s 2015 Canadian Qualifier Championships.
The 432 athletes will represent 33 clubs from all ten Canadian provinces during the competition hosted by Synchro BC and Victoria Synchro under the leadership of Synchro Canada.
Amongst them, 11 synchronized swimmers will represent the host club, Victoria Synchro. A total of 60 athletes from British Columbia will be taking part in these championships.
The synchronized swimmers of the 13-15, junior (16-18) and senior age groups will be accompanied by 98 coaches and will perform in front of 38 officials.
Towards the 2015 Canadian Championships
As the name suggests, the Canadian Qualifier Championships are the opportunity for competitors to qualify for the final competitions of the year, the Canadian Championships.
Athletes of the junior and senior age groups will be looking to earn a ticket to the Shiseido Canadian Open Championships, which will be held April 28 – May 3 in Toronto, ON. For the athletes of the 13-15 age group, qualification will lead to the Canadian Espoir Championships in Saint John, NB, on June 3-7.
The athletes will then aim for a spot on Synchro Canada’s 2015 junior and 13-15 National Teams. Selection process will be held during and after the Shiseido Canadian Open and Espoir Championships.
