Ottawa, June 16, 2015 — On June 7, at the end of the 2015 Canadian Espoir Championships in Saint John, NB, Synchro Canada held the last phase of its Selection Trials for the 2015 13-15 National Squad. 12 athletes were selected to represent Canada in August at the 2015 Mediterranean Cup in Italy.
Previously, the top-35 athletes in the 13-15 figures event had advanced to Phase 2, a second figures event. The top-25 athletes from that second phase were invited to Phase 3 where they performed a routine for the judges.
The National Squad will spend the month of July training in Calgary before leaving for Ostia, Italy, where the competition will take place on August 6-9.
