BIOGRAPHY
Janelle Ball was selected for the Senior National Team in the fall of 2011. The same year, she was a member of the Quebec team that won the gold medal at the Canada Games. Her participation at the 2012 Spain Open is still one of her best memories so far. In 2013, she participated in the Summer Universiade with the team that finished in 4th position in both free and technical events. Janelle also took part of the team event at the 2014 Spain Open, where they finished 2nd and Japan Open, where they got the 3rd place.
GETTING TO KNOW THE ATHLETE
- Family: Janelle has two brothers and one sister… Two of them are playing water polo at a competitive level…
- Getting into the Sport: Janelle Ball got familiarized with synchronized swimming during the summer of 2000 where her local summer pool was offering all four aquatic sports. After she experimented with all of them, she picked synchronized swimming.
- Future aspirations: She is studying Social Sciences at John Abbott College and she is thinking about becoming a teacher…
- Why she loves Synchro: She says she likes synchronized swimming mostly for its artistic aspect…
