On May 4, at the end of the 2014 Canadian Open Championships, Synchro Canada held Phase 4 of its trials for the 2014 Junior National Squad which will attend a month-long training camp at the end of May.

Previously, the top-25 athletes in the junior figures event had advanced to Phase 2, a second figures event. The top-20 athletes from that second phase were invited to Phase 3 where they performed a routine for the judges.

The Training Squad will attend a camp in Calgary from May 26 to June 28 after which the 10 members of the 2014 Junior National Team will be announced.  The selected athletes, who will keep training in Montreal until their departure, will represent the country at the FINA Junior World Championships at the end of July in Helsinki, Finland and will be led by Head Coach Jennifer Tregale and her assistants Elena Podolsky and Geneviève Beauregard-Ross.
