GETTING TO KNOW THE ATHLETE
- Getting into the sport: “I have always been a water baby, my mom was a gymnast and my dad was a swimmer, so synchro was a great combination of both”
- Career highlights: Competing in the Canada Winter Games for team Saskatchewan
- Family: Mom Kim and dad Dave are both pharmacists ; sisters Claire and Bailey are also in synchro ; Claire is 19 and Bailey is 14.
- Nickame: Lana
- Pre-swim ritual: I always have to shake my coaches hand before I walk on to compete
- Outside interests: Loves hanging out with friends when have some free time outside of the pool
- Favorite quote: “In the end we only regret the chances we didn’t take”
- Synchro Idols: “Elise Marcotte has been a huge inspiration to me throughout my entire swimming journey.”
- Future aspirations: “I would like to continue my journey as a synchro swimmer, where ever that may take me. After, I would like to find a career that I can be creative in and always enjoy doing my job.”
- Why she loves synchro : “I love synchro because of the beauty that comes with it. I also love the adrenaline you feel when you compete.”
